After obtaining both his bachelor in Applied Mathematics and a master in Computer Security from Twente, Tim started his PhD trajectory on a new type of encryption. During the lecture, Tim will explain how he applies his knowledge from the bachelor AM in doing cryptographic research. Along the way, he will touch upon cryptographic notions beyond symmetric encryption and “standard” public key encryption, and how to prove encryption schemes secure.
