Pi day bake off Thursday 10 March 2016 12:02
As the study association for Applied Mathematics there will of course be something special organized for this mathematical holiday! On the 14th of March (3/14) it's Pi day so there will be pie at Abacus. Members can compete in the bake off. The best pie or cake will get a nice prize. For the members who can't bake a cake there is another job: tasting all the cakes!
You can sign up for the bake off on the sign up list at Abacus. If you bake a cake you can a compensation of maximum €5.

At tuesday the 15th of december W.S.G. Abacus will organise its Christmas dinner. The location is Speeltuin Het Stadsveld, Plataanstraat 50 in Enschede. The maximum costs for this dinner are €20,00 per person.

Abacus' birthday is on the 19th of november! We will celebrate this in an awesome way. The celebrations will take place on the 18th of november. This year's theme is "Stout en fout in het oerwoud". Do you want to know which activities will take place on the 18th? The schedule can be found at https://www.abacus.utwente.nl/dies/. You can sign up for dinner here as well. We're going to have delicious spareribs! Total costs for dinner are €10,- per person.
Do you want to participate in the "groen-lianenspel"? Sign up in the abacuskamer. This game will start on the 11th and finish on the 18th.

On the 24th of September the Student Union activism has award been awarded to Lotte Weedage. She got this award for her work for W.S.G. Abacus and Linea Recta. Congratulations Lotte!

Tijdens de wissel-ALV van 1 september is er niet alleen een bestuurswissel geweest. W.S.G. Abacus is namelijk ook een erelid rijker: Diana Dalenoord!!! Ze heeft namelijk de afgelopen jaren bijzonder veel voor de opleiding en vereniging betekend zonder dat dit van haar verwacht werd.
Begin deze week is dit uiteraard ook gevierd met door Diana gemaakte cupcakes.

Inschrijving Kaleidoscoopdag 2015 open. Thursday 23 April 2015 15:18
Dit jaar zal W.S.G. Abacus in plaats van haar symposium de Kaleidoscoopdag organiseren. Dit is een landelijk wiskundesymposium dat elk jaar door een andere studievereniging wordt georganiseerd. De Kaleidoscoopdag zal dit jaar plaatsvinden op vrijdag 22 mei.
