Every year, the study association for Applied Mathematics Abacus organizes a symposium. The theme of this year is ‘Don’t Panic!?’. The symposium will be held on Friday the 25th of May at the University of Twente.

About the theme,

What do we mean with ‘Don’t Panic!?’? Well this year the symposium will be all about how to predict disasters and how to prevent them, via mathematical ways. You will learn a lot about this by listening to five speakers specialized in this subject. To learn more about the discussed topics go to speakers for more information.

Date and location

The symposium will take place on Friday the 25th of May 2018. The symposium will start at 9:30 AM but you can walk in after 9:00 AM .It will end at around 4:30 PM, after which you can have a drink. The location for the event is `Ravelijn’, a building on the University of Twente. The address is: Hallenweg 17, room Ravelijn 1501, 7522NK Enschede.


You can buy a ticket for this symposium at the registration page. Registration on the day of the symposium will be very limited, so make sure to register before May 22th. The symposium consists of a fully catered day including lunch and closing reception.
