Choosing the education you will follow after your AM bachelor is a very important decision that needs careful consideration. One of the popular options for AM bachelor students is to start an AM Master at the University of Twente. However, within the Master of Applied Mathematics there are 4 different Master tracks that a student can choose to specialise in. For each Master track Abacus has arranged a case provided by staff from the respective track to let Bachelor students taste what following that Master track is like. One of these tracks is Systems, Analysis and Computational Sciences (SACS), which this session will be about. Hans Zwart and Gjerrit Meinsma will explain a little about the track SACS in general and will let you work on a typical problem that you might encounter when you follow the track SACS. For this case you will need a laptop with MATLAB. These track cases are very useful to help you in your decision for post-bachelor education, so, if you are a second year student, or a higher year student, make sure to attend! If you are just interested in solving a fun and interesting case, that's fine as well.
