Once again, two PhD students will give a short presentation on their research, so join this PhDrink with Patryk Rygiel and Natalia Jeszka!

Patryk will talk about how we explore how neural surrogates - deep learning approximators of numerical methods - can accelerate biomechanical simulations, focusing on how geometry and physical laws can guide learning and support reliable predictions in practice.

Natalia will talk about how the classical Pólya model consists of an urn containing balls of different colors. We explore what happens when several balls are drawn at once and use their colors to create more general replacement rules.
