About Felix Schwenninger

Felix Schwenninger

My name is Felix and happy to be this year’s general adjunct of the 55th board of abacus. In this role, I have the please/duty to be the bridging point between the student association and the employees of the math department.
I am originally from Austria where I also did my Bachelor and Master studies in mathematics before joining the UT for PhD project. So in some sense the math department is my “home”, whereas I spent some time in Germany after I finished my PhD some years back. It somehow happened that I returned not only for my passion in mathematics, but also for returning for a life in white-green at vv drienerlo. My research interest are broadly in analysis and its interconnection with linear algebra (that’s “functional analysis”). Within the department I am part of the Mathematical Systems Theory group and teach both in the Bachelor and the Master. As those who have experienced my lectures know, I insist on giving math talks/lectures by using chalk.
