My name is Rien Lagerwerf, 30 years old and I did a Bachelor and Master (Applied Analysis) Applied Mathematics in Enschede. During my student years, I was active at Abacus in several committees and as chairman of the 44th board. At the moment I am a Research & Development Engineer at the Netherlands Aerospace Center and will soon be able to defend my PhD research on optimizing the mathematical models behind CT scanners. I will tell about my current job, my PhD research, but also about how I ended up in these places and what went right and wrong on the way to these places.

If you enroll, you can collect a free 15cm Subway sub at the Subway located at the UT or at Enschede centrum (De Heurne 11) this week, starting from Tuesday, by mentioning your name in combination with Abacus. If you enrolled, but are not present at the lunch lecture, you will have to pay for the sub yourself.

You can choose between Spicy Italian, Italian BMT, Ham, Kalkoen, Vegan Supreme and Veggie Delite.
